Bruce Firchau - Basketball Museum of Illinois Chairman Speaks at FVOA Meeting

Bruce Firchau, Chairman of the Basketball Museum of Illinois, made a live presentation asking for donors to this most worthy cause in need of help to reach a 5 Million dollar museum in Pontiac. Many members stepped up with a five-year commitment for $100 per year. The FVOA made a 5 year commitment as well. The FVOA Board of Directors ask each member to consider a make an individual 5 year donation.

Joel Wisz, FVOA Board Member, talked about importance of basketball pregame. Joel passed out to all in attendance a copy of his updated Basketball pregame.  We will have copies available at the upcoming meetings. Be sure and attend the next 3 upcoming meetings as we have some items that will be given out to attendees.  Possibly some FVOA whistles and lapel pins.  You have to attend to get em!

Remember, there is a $1 fine if any FVOA member uses any of the following terms during a game:

  • He / she didn’t take it in the chest
  • Over the back
  • It wasn’t my call
  • On the floor
  • That is a hard foul
  • That is a moving screen
  • He / she wasn’t set
  • We don’t need a pregame
  • Hands off
  • I saw it but I thought you had it
